Carol Grier

Interior Design

Interior designer, colorist, and fashion designer, Carol Grier, is recognized for her expertise in color coordination and works in collaboration with architects developing color schemes for exteriors as well as interiors.  Early in her career, she created the first whimsical logo in bold primary colors for Pacific Primary School in San Francisco. Subsequently she worked with architect Charles Moore on the interiors for a Sea Ranch home and a remodel for a Russian Hill home in San Francisco.  Carol cites American graphic designer, Barbara Stauffacher, British architect Sir John Soane, and Finnish textile company Marimekko, as just a few of her inspirations.   She is currently the interior designer and colorist for a three-story Victorian home restoration/remodel in South Park, San Francisco, a remodel at Muir Beach in Marin County as well as other projects in northern and southern California.

Carol started as a clothing designer where she honed her use of color and design.  Her first clothing company, “Terrific Co.” was a forerunner of color coordinated fleece sportswear.  She studied fine art and design in college and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and has traveled extensively throughout the world.
